Same Day Shipping
We pride ourselves on preparing all orders placed online before 2 pm EST to be shipped out for our 4 pm carrier pickup time. To ensure your order is shipped out same day, please place online orders by 1 pm EST. As soon as your order is ready for shipping, we will notify you via email. Our fulfillment team is here Monday-Friday, 7 am to 5 pm EST and Saturday 10 am to 2 pm EST.
Free Domestic Shipping
For domestic orders (USA) totaling more than $50 USD, we offer free 2-4 day shipping. Free shipping is sent through either USPS Priority Mail, FedEx or UPS Ground, based on weight and size of order, and final destination. This option is unfortunately not available for orders being shipped to a P.O. Box.
Order Tracking & Updates
Automatic updates will be sent for order confirmation, order dispatching (with associated tracking information), and for confirmation of delivery. If any delays occur, please notify us. We are happy to help resolve any issues with the carrier.
Carriers & Calculated Rates
Rates are calculated based on weight and distance from our fulfillment location in Pinckney, Michigan. You can see your estimated shipping rates for USPS, USP, DHL, and FedEx at any time by placing items in your cart.
For orders placed that extend beyond our current inventory levels, we will notify you within 24 hours of the discrepancy and work to get you all available units as soon as possible. The remainder of the order will be shipped as soon as production is complete, generally within 1-3 weeks.
Some orders may ship in multiple boxes or even be split between carriers. This is to optimize the speed of delivery, or for larger shipments, may be required due to weight restrictions. Even if your order is shipped in multiple boxes, you will only receive one tracking number. If only part of your order arrives and the remaining portion doesn't arrive next day, please email email@example.com for tracking information and assistance.
If damage occurs during shipment, please notify us within three days of delivery, providing photos (if possible) and a written explanation of the damage. We will work with the applicable carrier on your behalf.
Account Shipping & Pickup
If your lab or procurement office would like to use their carrier account, select "Provide Carrier Account" at checkout. Following order, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the appropriate credentials and we will send shipment using this information. There is a $2.50 fee for use of external shipping account.
If you are in the Pinckney, Michigan area, we can also schedule a free pick-up for any order. Please select "Local Pickup" at checkout and email email@example.com with desired date and time.

All international orders are shipped same day from the US in order to expedite delivery as much as possible. Shipments may be shipped direct using USPS Priority Mail, UPS, FedEx, or DHL utilizing our discounted carrier rates or managed through a freight forwarder and delivered using a local carrier.
Typical shipping time for economy delivery is 7-12 days, depending on final destination. Typical shipping time for expedited delivery can be as soon as 2-4 days. Shipping is calculated based on weight and final destination. All international orders require signature upon delivery.
International Import Duties & Taxes
For your convenience, and to expedite delivery, all import duties and taxes are calculated and applied to orders at checkout and are paid and remitted by Vela on your behalf. No additional VAT or other charges will be requested at delivery.
