Writing: Archival, pigment-based pens such as copic or micron are recommended for use in all notebooks. These inks reduce ink show-through and will not yellow or fade over time.

Cover Care: Printed covers may show wear (fingerprints, discoloration, etc.) over time. Simply wash cover with lightly damp rag or wash with other gentle cleaning solutions periodically. DuraCover and ProCover generally require minimal care.

Binding: Sewn binding lays more flat with use. To expedite this process, open and close new notebooks every few pages and apply pressure along its spine. Smaller books and softcovers intrinsically lay less flat than larger, hardcovers. Therefore, large format hardcovers are recommended for true "lay-flat" sewn binding.

Adhesives: We recommend an archival, permanent adhesive for applying all printed matter. The industry standard for this application is neschen archival tape.

Storage: Avoid contact with aggressive solutions, store out of direct sunlight in stable, low humidity conditions. Store in secure, monitored location.

Guides: Please reference our user guide page for a library of printable guides as well as powerpoints and other teaching aides on lab notebook protocols.
